Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Dave Matthews will headline Outlaw Partners’ fifth annual Wildlands music festival this summer in Big Sky, Montana. This marks Matthews’ highly anticipated return to the state for the first time in over 30 years. Joining him for the August 2 event at the Big Sky Events Arena will be acclaimed singer-songwriter Lukas Nelson, promising an unforgettable evening of live music set against the majestic backdrop of Lone Mountain.
In keeping with Wildlands’ commitment to conservation, a portion of the event’s proceeds will benefit two key charity partners: American Rivers, a national leader in river conservation, and the Bozeman-based Center for Large Landscape Conservation, which promotes ecological connectivity across global landscapes.
Tickets for the event will go on sale Tuesday, January 14, at 10 a.m. MST via wildlandsmusic. A presale for local residents and Warehouse Fan Club members will run from January 8 to 12. With only 4,000 tickets available for this rare performance, which promises surprise artist collaborations, tickets are expected to sell out quickly. Attendees are encouraged to purchase early. An additional opening act will be announced in the coming months.
Wildlands 2025 will continue its mission of sustainability with a day of charity events, inspiring talks, captivating films, and a fundraising dinner on Friday, August 1. The two-day festival will offer a unique celebration of music, conservation, and community.
“Now in its fifth year, Wildlands has become a must-see event, blending epic music with a breathtaking setting—all while supporting vital causes,” said festival organizer Timon. “With this year’s powerhouse lineup, it’s set to be our best one yet.”
