Australian death metal outfit Faceless Burial is set to bring their intense brand of old-school death metal to New Zealand for the first time. The Naarm (Melbourne)-based trio will embark on a highly anticipated Aotearoa tour in late March, hitting Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland), Kirikiriroa (Hamilton), and Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington).
Formed in 2014, Faceless Burial has earned a reputation for their unrelenting sound, blending technical precision with a raw, ominous atmosphere. Their 2020 album Speciation was hailed as a “modern classic” in the death metal scene, while their 2022 follow-up At the Foothills of Deliration garnered critical acclaim for its “otherworldly” sound and “impeccable technicality,” as noted by Post Trash.
The band’s first-ever tour of New Zealand is set to deliver a heavy dose of extreme music, with all dates promising a night of brutality that fans of underground metal won’t want to miss. The shows are presented by Wrought Material and Valhalla Touring, with the signature pointillist artwork featured on the tour poster.
Faceless Burial Aotearoa Tour Dates:
Friday, 28th March – Big Fan, Auckland (all-ages)
Saturday, 29th March – Last Place, Hamilton
Sunday, 30th March – Valhalla, Wellington
Tickets are available for purchase via UTR.
