Swedish power metal icons HammerFall are set to rock Australian stages for the first time this January, kicking off their long-awaited tour at Metros Fremantle on Tuesday, January 14. Tickets for the tour are now available, marking an exciting milestone for the band, who have become synonymous with the global power metal movement since their formation in Gothenburg in 1997.

Known for their explosive sound and unwavering dedication to classic metal, HammerFall has achieved international success with chart-topping albums, gold certifications, and sold-out tours worldwide. Their latest album, Avenge the Fallen, continues to showcase their signature blend of soaring vocals, thunderous guitar riffs, and battle-ready anthems.

Bassist Fredrik Larsson spoke to BRAYDEN EDWARDS about the significance of this Australian debut, reflecting on the band’s long journey to the land down under. “We did a one-off gig ten years ago, but this is our first full tour in Australia,” Larsson shared. “It’s a bit strange, but the main reason it’s taken this long is that we’ve never had the right booker with good connections in the country. Having someone who believes in your band and can bring you over really makes all the difference.”

Fans can look forward to a high-energy performance packed with HammerFall’s timeless metal anthems, cementing their place as legends in the genre and delivering an unforgettable experience for Australian audiences.
