The iconic country music band Sawyer Brown will headline the 2025 Lucknow Music Festival, set to take place on Saturday, April 12, in downtown Dunn, North Carolina. Organized by the Downtown Dunn Development Corporation (DDDC), the highly anticipated event will offer free admission, promising a memorable day of live music and community celebration.
“We can’t wait to have Sawyer Brown join us in downtown Dunn on April 12,” said Jacob Godwin, festival organizer and DDDC board member. “The third annual Lucknow Music Festival will be one for the record books and elevate Dunn, NC, to a whole new level.”
Sawyer Brown, founded in 1981 in Apopka, Florida, is led by vocalist and rhythm guitarist Mark Miller, who has penned many of the group’s enduring hits, including “Step That Step,” “The Walk,” “Thank God for You,” and the fan-favorite “Some Girls Do.” Beyond his work with the band, Miller also discovered and produced music for the Grammy-winning Contemporary Christian band Casting Crowns.
The band’s lineup also includes Gregg “Hobie” Hubbard on keys and piano, who co-wrote hits such as “The Dirt Road” and “Round Here,” along with Joe Smyth on drums and percussion, and Shayne Hill on lead guitar.
The Lucknow Music Festival will transform Dunn’s commercial district into a vibrant music hub, with festivities stretching from U.S. Highway 421 to East Edgerton Street and from U.S. Highway 301 to Railroad Avenue.
