Pop Evil, the modern rock powerhouse, has unveiled the music video for their latest track, “Wishful Thinking,” continuing their streak of powerful singles such as “What Remains” and “Deathwalk.” The dark, intense new song comes with a cinematic music video and is part of the lead-up to their highly anticipated eighth studio album, What Remains, set to drop on March 21, 2025, via MNRK Heavy.
The track delves into deeper, darker themes, as noted by the band. “‘Wishful Thinking’ pushes us into a realm that’s deeper, darker, and more intense than ever before,” they said, reflecting the evolving sound of the six-time RIAA gold-certified group.
What Remains will showcase the culmination of frontman Leigh Kakaty’s two-decade journey, which began in the blue-collar roots of Michigan. The album promises to be their heaviest yet, following in the footsteps of the 2023 release Skeletons, blending modern rock and metal for an emotionally raw, arena-ready collection.
