Swedish melodic death metal supergroup The Halo Effect has dropped their highly anticipated second album, March of the Unheard, along with the debut of a chilling new music video for their track “What We Become.” The song, which delves into themes of emotional struggle and transformation, serves as a powerful introduction to the band’s latest work. The music video, directed by Johan Carlén, was filmed in an isolated barn, amplifying the track’s dark, haunting atmosphere.

Frontman Mikael Stanne, also known for his work with Dark Tranquillity, shared his excitement about the release: “The wait is over! We are incredibly proud of this album. The confidence, experience, and passion we’ve poured into these songs are evident, and we can’t wait for you all to hear it. To kick things off, we’re presenting the video for ‘What We Become.’ This song explores how our emotions—depression, self-doubt, and insecurity—can break us down and reshape who we are.”

The video’s stark, desolate setting adds an eerie layer of mystique, reinforcing the song’s exploration of emotional fragility and the feeling of being forgotten or silenced. With March of the Unheard, The Halo Effect is set to further cement their place in the melodic death metal scene.
