Shoegaze and doom-pop band SOM has unveiled the music video for their latest single, “Nightmares,” a track from their highly anticipated album Let The Light In, set to drop in March via Pelagic Records.
“Nightmares” is a powerful blend of soaring vocal melodies, reverb-laden guitar work, and a metal-infused bass breakdown, marking one of SOM’s heaviest compositions to date. The track captures the essence of transformation, showcasing the band’s signature ‘doom pop’ style with a fresh intensity. Accompanying the release is a visually striking music video, directed by Joel Villegas (known for his work with Poison the Well, Holy Fawn, and Glassing), set in a post-apocalyptic, glitch-infused dreamscape. This marks another exciting chapter for the band as they prepare to release their full album.
