Bluesy doom metal duo Noisepicker has released a striking new music video for their track “Chew,” offering a glimpse of their upcoming album The Earth Will Swallow The Sun, due in March via Exile On Mainstream.
Band mastermind Harry Armstrong described the song as a raw reflection on human failure and societal disillusionment, with the chorus declaring, “Chewed up and spat out,” portraying the consequences of self-interest and empty expectations. He also revealed that the band’s physical distance complicates rehearsals, leading to the creative decision to use puppetry for the video. Armstrong emphasized that the song’s theme centers on the realization of being manipulated like “a puppet on a string,” after chasing unfulfilling societal ideals.
The result is an inventive and gripping visual that aligns with the track’s intense critique of modern life. The Earth Will Swallow The Sun promises to deliver more of the band’s unique blend of doom metal and raw emotional commentary.
