To mark its 30th anniversary, SM Entertainment is set to release “2025 SM Town: The Culture, The Future” on February 14. The album, featuring 17 tracks, will celebrate the company’s rich legacy while offering new renditions of iconic songs from its extensive artist roster.
This highly anticipated album follows “2022 Winter SM Town: SMCU Palace”, which was released just over two years ago. Featured on the anniversary album are unique reinterpretations by the label’s stars. Kangta of H.O.T. revisits S.E.S.’s “Just a Feeling,” while BoA pays tribute to SHINee’s Jonghyun with a cover of “End of a Day.” TVXQ takes on Red Velvet’s “Psycho,” and Super Junior reimagines Shinhwa’s “I Pray 4 U.”
Other highlights include Girls’ Generation’s version of “My Everything,” EXO’s take on H.O.T.’s “Git It Up!,” and NCT 127’s rendition of Hyun Jin-young’s “You In Vague Memory.” Additionally, Red Velvet covers “Run Devil Run,” NCT Dream reworks EXO’s “Love Me Right,” and WayV offers their version of SHINee’s “Juliette.”
SM’s subsidiary labels also contribute, with ScreaM Records adding a dance music touch to SHINee’s “View”, and SM Classics giving BoA’s “My Name” a classical and jazz-inspired twist.
