Take Back The Sun, an alternative metal and rock band, is preparing to release its debut album this spring. Formed in 2019 and restructured in 2021 after the pandemic, the band has steadily built a regional fanbase in Fort Atkinson and Janesville.
In a modest farmhouse rehearsal room, the band’s five members—Ivan McIntyre, Hunter Hemenway, Luke Huber, Benjamin Lund, and Eli Sabo—are perfecting their energetic sound. Recently, a sixth member, Aiden, joined as a second drummer, further expanding their dynamic.
During a recent practice session, McIntyre, the lead vocalist and guitarist, belted out the first verse of their song “Ubiquity,” while Hemenway, the band’s other guitarist and McIntyre’s best friend, animatedly joined in, bringing the music to life. The band’s passion and dedication are clear as they work towards this exciting milestone in their musical journey.
