Swedish power metal band Hans & Valter have just dropped their latest single and music video, “Warriors Without a Quest,” marking the band’s first visual release. Drawing influence from power metal icons such as Gloryhammer, Twilight Force, and Brothers of Metal, the band describes their sound as “a musical universe” with cinematic storytelling elements.
The new track introduces listeners to an epic narrative, set in a world where Dark Lord Renius begins his campaign to cast the Land of the Free into eternal darkness. In a desperate plea for help, the Flour King lights a beacon to summon aid. The song follows the journey of Hans and Valter, two questless warriors who must decide whether to heed the call and defend the village from Renius’ forces.
“Warriors Without a Quest” serves as the second single leading up to the band’s debut album, The Legend of the Oakensource, scheduled for release in the spring of 2025. The album will continue the saga, as Hans and Valter battle to thwart Dark Lord Renius and prevent the looming Endless Night.
