Country music star Orville Peck is set to make his Broadway debut as the Emcee in Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club. Starting March 31, Peck will join Tony Award nominee Eva Noblezada, who will play Sally Bowles, for a limited 16-week engagement at the August Wilson Theatre. The run will conclude on July 20.
Peck, who has long dreamt of playing the iconic Emcee role, expressed his excitement in a statement: “The Emcee has been my dream role since I was a teenager. The character offers such freedom of expression, which is every actor’s dream. I can’t believe I’m making my Broadway debut in one of my favorite shows, playing what may be my favorite role in all of musical theater.”
Peck and Noblezada will take over the roles from Adam Lambert and Auli‘i Cravalho, who are scheduled to perform their final shows on March 29.
