K-pop continues to make a powerful impact on the U.S. music scene, with groups like Stray Kids, Enhypen, and Ateez dominating CD sales in 2024. According to the latest Year-End Music Report from Luminate, seven K-pop albums ranked among the top 10 in U.S. CD sales for the year, underscoring the genre’s growing influence in the American market.
Stray Kids led the K-pop surge, with their album Ate selling 442,000 copies, securing the second-highest spot for the year. The group’s follow-up release, Hop, also performed well, ranking fifth with 248,000 units sold.
Enhypen’s Romance: Untold came in third, selling 363,000 copies, while Ateez placed twice in the top 10 with Golden Hour: Part. 1 and Golden Hour: Part. 2, which sold 250,000 and 225,000 copies, respectively, taking fourth and seventh positions.
Tomorrow by Together’s minisode 3: Tomorrow secured sixth place with 240,000 copies sold, and TWICE’s With YOU-th rounded out the top 10 at number nine.
While Taylor Swift’s Tortured Poets Department claimed the top spot with a massive 1.51 million copies sold, K-pop’s dominance in the U.S. was undeniable, with seven albums from the genre in the year-end top 10.
In the “overall sales” category, which combines both physical CD and digital album sales, Stray Kids and Enhypen continued to shine. Stray Kids’ Ate ranked sixth with 449,000 copies sold, while Enhypen’s Romance: Untold came in eighth with 378,000 copies.
The strong sales highlight the growing impact of K-pop in global markets, further solidifying the genre’s place in the mainstream music landscape.
