Rap music star Lil Xelly was tragically shot and killed on January 16 outside the Sleep Inn Hotel in Rockville, Maryland. His body was discovered the following day, after Montgomery County Police stumbled upon a white BMW with bullet holes during a routine patrol at the intersection of Research Boulevard and Shady Grove Road. Inside the vehicle, officers found Lil Xelly’s body, and a second body, that of a woman, was discovered nearby.
Authorities later arrested 25-year-old Kaloyan Dimov Stoev as the suspect in the double shooting. While the victims’ identities have not been officially confirmed, reports indicate that Lil Xelly was the male found in the BMW.
At just 21 years old, Lil Xelly had rapidly gained attention in the underground music scene for his versatile style and relatable lyrics, connecting deeply with young audiences through his music and personal storytelling.
