BTS member J-Hope is set to make history as the first Korean male solo artist to perform at the prestigious Le Gala des Pieces Jaunes charity event, held on Wednesday at La Defense Arena in Paris. The event, organized by France’s Operation Pieces Jaunes foundation and led by First Lady Brigitte Macron, aims to raise funds for hospitalized children and adolescents.

J-Hope will share the stage with global stars such as Katy Perry, John Legend, and Rosé of Blackpink, marking a significant moment in both his career and charitable efforts. The BTS fanbase, Army, showed their unwavering support by selling out tickets for the event in just 10 minutes after they went on sale on January 13.

“J-Hope has chosen to use his influence for a meaningful performance, and we will continue the hope and solidarity he has started,” said Army in a statement.

This performance will be J-Hope’s first in France in nearly six years, following BTS’ “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself” world tour in 2019. The charity concert will be broadcast on France’s national channel, France 2, on January 28.

J-Hope’s upcoming solo ventures also include his highly anticipated “J-Hope Tour ‘Hope On the Stage’,” which will kick off in Seoul from February 28 to March 2, with tickets selling out quickly. The tour will span 31 shows in 15 cities, including major stops in Brooklyn, Los Angeles, Mexico City, and Bangkok. Notably, J-Hope will become the first Korean solo artist to perform at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles on April 4 and 6.
