New York City-based art rock band Ecce Shnak dropped their latest single, “The Internet,” yesterday, offering a reflection on the complexities of the digital age.
Vocalist and bassist David Roush shared his perspective on the song, describing the internet as a double-edged sword: a unifying yet isolating force. “The internet unites us as much as it alienates us. It amplifies both the best and worst aspects of human nature, creating a paradox that is as exhilarating as it is dangerous,” Roush explained. “It’s a question of whether this powerful tool will improve or worsen our lives.”
Accompanying the release is a striking music video directed by Milton Walker. “The Internet” is the lead single from Ecce Shnak’s upcoming EP Shadows Grow Fangs, set for release on February 7 via Record Man, Records. The track is available now on digital platforms.
