Felicity Kircher has been named the 45th winner of the prestigious Toyota Star Maker competition, earning recognition for her distinctive approach to country music. The 20-year-old singer-songwriter from Tingalpa, Queensland, joins an elite group of past winners, including Keith Urban, Max Jackson, and Lee Kernaghan. Kircher succeeds rodeo cowboy Wade Forster, who claimed the title in 2024.
A rising star in Australian country music, Kircher previously won the NAB Talent Search and has made significant strides in her career. On January 19, she captivated both the audience and judges at Toyota Park with her original songs, Dear Rose and Ultimatum.
With more than a decade of musical experience, Kircher recorded her first album at just 15 years old with Rob Mackay. She has since performed at major festivals, including the Tamworth Country Music Festival and the Gympie Music Muster, and has opened for country icons like Kasey Chambers.
Kircher’s latest single, I Am Cry, has gained traction on radio and editorial playlists, further cementing her place in the Australian country music scene. Star Maker Coordinator and judge Cheryl Brown praised Kircher’s readiness for success, noting she is the most “ready” for the big time.
