The 2025 Great Jones County Fair in Monticello has officially unveiled its complete concert lineup, with country music star Sam Hunt set to headline the Thursday night show on July 17th.
Hunt, who relocated to Nashville in 2008 to pursue his country music dreams, rose to fame after his college football career came to an end. Having played at Middle Tennessee State and UAB, and even securing a tryout with the Kansas City Chiefs, Hunt turned to songwriting when football didn’t pan out. His writing credits include hits like Kenny Chesney’s “Come Over,” Keith Urban’s “Cop Car,” and Billy Currington’s “We Are Tonight,” cementing his place in the country music world before stepping into the spotlight as a performer.
Fans can look forward to an unforgettable night of hit songs and compelling performances when Hunt takes the stage at the 2025 fair.
