Chassidic ra music star Nissim Black is set to perform at a special concert against hate, hosted by activist Geoffrey Davis for the Crown Heights Jewish community. The free event will take place at the Bedford Armory on January 29th, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
As hate crimes continue to rise in New York, Davis, a longtime peace advocate and Crown Heights resident, is taking action. “As a resident of Crown Heights for over 50 years, my family’s mission has always been to promote peace and unity,” said Davis. “Nissim Black, who bridges both the Chassidic Jewish and African American communities, is the perfect artist to embody these shared values.”
The concert is part of an effort to bring diverse communities together in the fight against hate. The event, which will also take place at the Major R. Owens Health and Wellness Community Center at 1561 Bedford Avenue in Brooklyn, promises to be a powerful evening of unity and celebration.
