Marty Stuart’s Congress of Country Music has unveiled plans for its inaugural outdoor music festival, The Congressional Sessions, which will take place in Philadelphia, Mississippi. The festival, presented by Pearl River Resort, will serve as a key fundraiser to support the construction of the Congress of Country Music, a venue dedicated to celebrating the genre’s legacy.
Stuart, a Grammy-winning Country Music Hall of Famer, expressed his excitement for the event, stating, “Music has the power to bring people together and make a lasting impact. The Congressional Sessions will be a celebration of our shared heritage and an appeal to help complete the spiritual home of country music in Philadelphia.”
The festival will bring together legendary country acts alongside rising stars, celebrating both the history and future of country music. Set against the historic backdrop of Philadelphia, the event will feature live and simulcast performances aimed at showcasing the diversity and authenticity of the genre.
“We are finalizing dates for 2025 and an incredible lineup of artists,” Stuart shared. “The inaugural year of The Congressional Sessions is shaping up to be a must-see event.”
