KCON, the annual global celebration of K-pop and Korean culture, will make its highly anticipated return to Japan and the United States this year. The festival, organized by CJ ENM, will kick off in Chiba, Japan, from May 9 to 11, followed by a stop in Los Angeles from August 1 to 3.
KCON has grown into a landmark event since its U.S. debut in 2012, combining live K-pop performances with a convention that showcases various aspects of Korean culture, from music and fashion to television and food. The festival has garnered immense popularity, with last year’s KCON Japan attracting a record 140,000 attendees. KCON LA also reached a global audience, engaging approximately 5.8 million fans from 176 countries through both on-site and digital platforms.
Details regarding the venues and artist lineups for this year’s events will be announced at a later date.
