Rock band 10 Years has unveiled their highly anticipated digital EP, INNER DARKNESS, through Mascot Records, featuring a mix of unreleased tracks and fan favorites. The lead single, “The Optimist” featuring Conquer Divide, quickly made waves on global radio after its release, accompanied by a new official music video.
The EP showcases three previously unreleased tracks, along with three popular singles, including a fresh version of “The Optimist” with guest vocals from Conquer Divide’s Kia Taylor. Taylor and 10 Years lead vocalist Jesse Hasek’s chemistry was evident from their first virtual meeting, which quickly turned into a collaboration. “It was a fun, painless process and it came out even better than I expected,” Hasek said of working with Taylor.
The full tracklist includes “The Optimist” (feat. Conquer Divide), “Gravity,” “Rise,” “Speechless,” “I Remember,” “The Trench,” and a reimagined version of “The Optimist.”
Looking ahead, 10 Years is planning an extensive tour into 2025 but isn’t waiting long to release more music. With over a dozen songs already near completion, guitarist and producer Brian Vodinh is excited to continue building on the momentum of INNER DARKNESS. Despite a flexible timeline, Vodinh crafted nearly 70 song frameworks over the past two years, making it a tough choice to pick the final six tracks for the EP.
