DJ Unk, the influential Atlanta rap music star behind hits like “Walk It Out” and “2 Step,” has tragically passed away at the age of 43. Known for his energetic beats and dance-floor anthems, Unk made a lasting impact on the early 2000s hip-hop scene and beyond.

His wife, Sherkita Long-Platt, confirmed the news on January 24 via Facebook, asking for privacy as their family grieves. “I just lost my husband, and my kids just lost their father. Our life will never be the same,” she shared in a heartfelt post. The cause of death has not been revealed.
