Country music star Jake Owen is set to headline the Du Quoin State Fair Grandstand on Friday, August 29, bringing his chart-topping hits to southern Illinois. With 10 No.1 singles and over 2.5 billion on-demand streams, Owen is a staple in country music.
Jerry Costello II, Director of the Illinois Department of Agriculture, highlighted the festival’s diverse lineup, noting, “Country artists are a crowd favorite in southern Illinois, and we are excited to bring Jake Owen to the Du Quoin State Fair.”
Owen, known for his laid-back style and hit songs like “Barefoot Blue Jean Night,” “Beachin’,” and “The One That Got Away,” has earned gold and platinum records throughout his career. The ACM award winner has also released nine albums, headlined global tours, and appeared in the 2019 film Our Friend.
Du Quoin State Fair Manager Luke Davison praised Owen’s live performances, saying, “Jake Owen gives his all during his performances, and the crowd responds by singing along with their favorite hit songs. This is going to be an iconic summer concert at the Du Quoin State Fair.”
