Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Rosanne Cash took the stage at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, offering a live performance that paid tribute to both her musical roots and her ongoing influence on American roots music. This event was part of a broader celebration of her exhibition, “Rosanne Cash: Time Is a Mirror,” which is now on display at the museum through March 2026 and is included with regular admission.
During the performance, Cash, accompanied by her husband and producer John Leventhal, showcased a collection of songs that reflect her deep ties to country and roots music. The acoustic set included her 1981 hit “Seven Year Ache,” a poignant rendition of her father Johnny Cash’s interpretation of Lefty Frizzell’s “Long Black Veil,” and a tribute to the Carter family with a performance of the iconic 1927 song “Bury Me Under The Weeping Willow.”
R.J. Smith, a Hall of Fame and Museum Writer-Editor, described Cash as an “unwavering artistic spirit” whose contributions have helped shape and redefine American roots music over the years. Her performance underscored this legacy, blending her personal history with the genre’s rich traditions.
