A brand-new rock and roll musical, Three Steps to Heaven, is set to hit the stage at Romford’s Brookside Theatre from February 6-16, bringing the legendary Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and the Big Bopper together for one final performance.
This heartwarming and humorous show reimagines the iconic moment of February 3, 1959, forever etched in music history as “the day the music died,” when the three rock legends perished in a tragic plane crash. In the afterlife, they find themselves in The Last Stop Diner—a celestial space between heaven and earth—where they are guided by a mysterious soda-mixing mentor named Angela.
Featuring timeless 1950s hits like “That’ll Be the Day,” “Chantilly Lace,” “Great Balls of Fire,” and “La Bamba,” the musical celebrates the legacies and music of these iconic artists in a fresh, uplifting way. With a lively score and touching moments, Three Steps to Heaven promises an unforgettable experience for rock ‘n’ roll fans.
Tickets are available now through the Brookside Theatre website or by calling the box office at 01708 755775.
