Thrash metal icons Anthrax have confirmed their highly anticipated 12th studio album is set for release in fall 2025. The album, their first since 2016’s For All Kings, is expected to drop in September or October, according to bassist Frank Bello, who shared the news during an interview at the NAMM event in Anaheim.
Bello also teased major touring plans to follow the album’s release. “We have big touring plans coming up. Those who know Anthrax know we stay on the road for a while. There are some really significant shows being planned, but I can’t talk about them yet,” he revealed.
The nine-year gap between albums marks the band’s longest hiatus, but fans can now eagerly await the new material later this year, as well as a full tour in support of the album. Additionally, Bello discussed his new Spector signature bass, which will make its debut on the upcoming tours.
