Bruno Mars is showing he can laugh at himself as rumors of a massive gambling debt take a backseat to his latest career triumph. In a playful response to reports of an alleged $50 million gambling debt in Las Vegas, Mars joked about the rumors while celebrating his milestone achievement as the first artist to hit 150 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
In a lighthearted post on Instagram, Mars quipped, “KEEP STREAMING! I’ll be out of debt in no time,” referring to his newfound streaming success, which was boosted by his hit collaboration with rising star Sexyy Red.
Their track, “Fat Juicy & Wet,” has been a major success. Mars had teased the release just days earlier, announcing he was heading to the studio to make a “strip club anthem” and urgently seeking out Sexyy Red to join the project. She quickly responded with enthusiasm, and within three days, the track was out.
Despite its rapid release, the song faced criticism, with Joe Budden comparing Mars’ new style to controversial tactics associated with Donald Trump. Nonetheless, Mars’ career continues to soar, fueled by his humor and undeniable hit-making ability.
