LiAngelo Ball’s unexpected hit “Tweaker” has claimed the top spot on the 2025 U.S. hip-hop sales charts. The track, which quickly rose to No. 29 on Billboard’s Hot 100, sold 94,000 units in its first week and garnered massive streaming numbers, including 20 million Spotify plays and 9 million views on World Star Hip Hop’s YouTube channel.
The success of “Tweaker” has landed Ball an $8 million deal with Def Jam/UMG, with the potential for bonuses pushing the total to $13 million. Despite initial backlash following its performance at a Detroit Lions playoff game, the song earned support from major artists like T-Pain, Meek Mill, and Lil Yachty. Even critic Cam’ron later praised its Cash Money Records-like sound.
With strong digital sales and radio play, “Tweaker” is cementing LiAngelo Ball’s shift from basketball to music, and his next single is highly anticipated to continue the momentum.
