The Wilder Blue is gearing up to release their highly anticipated new album, Still In The Runnin’, on March 14. The independent country-rock band, known for its tight harmonies and genre-blending sound, has built a reputation as one of the most talented outfits on the road today.

Formed in 2020 by singer-songwriter Zane Williams, guitarist Paul Eason, bassist Sean Rodriguez, multi-instrumentalist Andy Rogers, and drummer Lyndon Hughes, The Wilder Blue was initially met with skepticism when labeled a “supergroup.” However, their dynamic performances and growing fan base have since cemented their status as one of the most exciting acts in modern country music.

The band has drawn comparisons to The Eagles for their seamless harmonies and rich instrumentation, a quality that caught the attention of country superstar Luke Combs, who featured them as an opener on his tour and collaborated on their previous album. In 2024, The Wilder Blue signed with major booking agency WME and secured high-profile management but opted to remain independent, funding their new project directly through their fans.

“The reason we picked Still In The Runnin’ as the title is because it’s a good descriptor for where we are in our career,” Williams explained. “We’ve still got a long way to go, and we’re still challenging ourselves.” The album was entirely fan-funded and self-produced, with recording sessions spanning California, Texas, and North Carolina while the band toured across 30 states.

Williams wrote all nine songs on the album while driving the band’s tour bus, ensuring the music captured the raw, road-worn essence of their journey. While firmly rooted in country, Still In The Runnin’ incorporates classic rock elements and other influences, making for a sound that Williams describes as “almost like listening to a mixtape.”

The album’s title track was first released in 2024, and a newly recorded live version from their Red Rocks performance showcases its ‘70s country-soul feel. Still In The Runnin’ is now available for pre-save, promising another milestone for a band determined to carve its own path in the music industry.
