Grooblen Returns With Reflective New Single ‘The Convenience Of Being’

San Francisco-based psych-pop artist Grooblen is back with a fresh track, “The Convenience Of Being,” marking her return to colorful, offbeat soundscapes. The single, a breezy yet complex journey, quickly transitions into the signature wonky guitar riffs that fans have come to expect from Grooblen’s live performances.

Singer/songwriter Ellie Stokes explains that the song emerged from a moment of clarity when she recognized that a friendship had become one-sided. “I became a go-to person to talk at, or only contacted when emotions were high,” Stokes reveals. The song reflects her decision to step away from this draining dynamic and take a deeper look at how she can grow as a friend.

“The Convenience Of Being” is the first single from Grooblen’s upcoming EP FRIENDO, set for release on April 10th. The EP sees Stokes reuniting with producer Jim Greer (Foster The People, Handsome Boy Modeling School), who previously worked on A Wormhole Is A Freeway To The Stars. Greer, also the founder of War Chant Records, is releasing the EP through his label.
