Megan Thee Stallion and PSY are set to headline a new K-pop music battle series, KPOPPED, which is slated for release on Apple TV+. The series, announced Wednesday by producers, will feature the Hot Girl Summer rapper and Gangnam Style sensation as part of an exciting collaboration in the world of K-pop.
In the eight-episode show, Western music icons will reimagine their biggest hits, teaming up with top K-pop idols to compete in high-energy performance battles. A live audience in Seoul will choose the winners of each round, with a brand-new “K-popped” version of each hit taking center stage.
Megan Thee Stallion, whose real name is Megan Pete, will also perform her chart-topping 2020 single Savage during the show. Additionally, she will serve as an executive producer alongside legendary music icon Lionel Richie.
While an official release date has yet to be announced, fans are eagerly awaiting this crossover event that blends Western and K-pop influences in a thrilling new format.
