Hudson Westbrook, a rising star in the country music scene, will perform at Billy Bob’s Texas in Fort Worth this Saturday, February 15. Just a year and a half ago, the 20-year-old Stephenville native was a freshman at Texas Tech with no songwriting experience. Now, Westbrook has become a fast-rising country artist with over 33 million Spotify streams for his hit song, “House Again,” which he co-wrote about his parents’ divorce.
Despite his growing success, Westbrook remains committed to staying true to his Texas roots and vintage country sound. In a recent interview with Billboard, he expressed a reluctance to embrace the Nashville mainstream, emphasizing his loyalty to traditional country influences like Merle Haggard and Tracy Lawrence.
Westbrook’s self-titled debut album made waves, earning him Billboard’s “Country Rookie of the Month” in December. Although his Billy Bob’s concert is sold out, fans can catch him headlining at the House of Blues in Dallas on April 3.
