K-pop sensation NewJeans has officially rebranded as NJZ amid an ongoing legal dispute with their label ADOR, a subsidiary of Hybe. The group, now performing under the new moniker, is set to headline the upcoming ComplexCon Hong Kong festival, where they will share the stage with big names like Quavo, Metro Boomin, and South Korean rapper-producer Zico.
This marks the first time NJZ will perform under their new name, with group member Minji expressing excitement about the change. “We are thrilled to be stepping onto the stage for the first time as NJZ and share something new with everyone,” she said. “It’s a big moment for us, and we can’t wait for fans to be a part of this journey.”
The lineup of NJZ includes Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein. In a recent interview with CNN, Hanni shared that the group will debut a new song at the event. Despite the name change, she emphasized that the members are not fully moving on from their previous identity as NewJeans. “Being NewJeans was still a very special period of time to us,” she reflected, acknowledging the sentimental value the name holds for both the group and their fans.
ComplexCon Hong Kong will take place from March 21 to 23 at the Hong Kong World Asia-Expo Convention Centre, with NJZ’s performance date yet to be revealed.
