Country music singer-songwriter Ira Dean has released his deeply personal new single, “Everything,” featuring Grammy Award-winning artist Gretchen Wilson. The track, available now via 8 Track Entertainment/Warner Music Group/ADA, marks the fifth release from his upcoming album, I Got Roads, slated for April 2025.
More than just a love song, “Everything” serves as a heartfelt tribute to Dean’s wife, Jennifer, encapsulating a lifetime of devotion and gratitude. Originally written as a wedding surprise, the song holds special significance for the artist.
“I made it a mission not to just write a song with the words ‘brown eyes’ for Jennifer—I wanted to give her her very own song and surprise her with it at our wedding,” Dean shared. “The label loved it so much that we cut it for the new album. I called my long, long, long-time friend Gretchen Wilson and asked her to sing on it, and she did an amazing job. Jennifer, this is your song, Baby Cakes. I love you.”
With Wilson’s signature powerhouse vocals complementing Dean’s emotional delivery, “Everything” adds another standout moment to the highly anticipated I Got Roads album. Fans can expect an intimate and soulful country ballad that showcases Dean’s signature storytelling and heartfelt lyricism.
