DJ Khaled has turned an unexpected mix-up into a collaboration, teaming up with actor and singer Drake Bell after Drake, the rapper, distanced himself from Khaled’s upcoming album.
Khaled dropped a cinematic trailer for his 14th studio album, Aalam of God, featuring Anthony Ramos and Mark Wahlberg. Co-directed by Khaled and Eif Rivera, the teaser stirred excitement, especially when Khaled teased the album as “the one with [two] Drakes.”
However, Drake was quick to shut down speculation, commenting, “Must be @drakebell.” The post was swiftly deleted, but Bell seized the moment. On February 6, he took to X (formerly Twitter), writing, “Yo @djkhaled hit me up bro!”
Khaled responded in classic fashion—by jumping on a track. Just a day later, Bell released a new single, “MIA,” featuring Khaled’s signature ad-libs.
While Drake may be out, Bell is in, proving that Khaled always finds a way to turn viral moments into music.
