Sludge/doom metal veterans Rwake have officially announced their long-awaited new album, The Return Of Magik. Set for release in March 2025 via Relapse Records, the album marks the band’s first full-length project since 2011’s Rest.
Recorded in early 2024 at East End Sounds in Hensley, Arkansas, the album introduces Austin Sublett as Rwake’s new lead guitarist. His blistering solos add an intense edge to the band’s signature angular, progressive riffing, promising some of their most punishing material to date.
To coincide with the announcement, Rwake has also released a new music video for the album’s title track, The Return Of Magik, offering fans a first taste of their long-awaited comeback.
