Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country kicked off its 2025 touring schedule in the Pacific Northwest, delivering two electrifying performances in Seattle and Portland to enthusiastic crowds.
After a break to recharge and record, Donato and his band made their grand return at The Showbox in Seattle. The set opened with “Broadside Ballad” and “Hangman’s Reel” before the group launched into a powerful cover of Johnny Cash’s “Big River.” The momentum continued through a dynamic second set, featuring “Passing Storm” and “Sunshine in the Rain,” before closing with Muddy Waters’ rendition of “Got My Mo-Jo Working” and an encore performance of John Prine’s “Angel From Montgomery.”
The following night in Portland, Donato’s performance coincided with the opening of the Portland Winter Light Festival, adding a psychedelic glow to the Wonder Ballroom. The band’s rising popularity was evident, with fans packing the venue—a significant step up from Donato’s earlier Portland shows at The Get Down. A divided crowd setup allowed for an all-ages section, giving younger fans a chance to experience the energy of Cosmic Country live.
Daniel Donato’s West Coast tour continues with stops in Bend and Eugene, Oregon, before heading to California.
