Post Malone Kicks Off Super Bowl Weekend with Intimate New Orleans Performance

As the lights dimmed at The Fillmore New Orleans, the stage was set for an unforgettable night. The Fools for You, Post Malone’s tour band featuring some of Nashville’s finest session musicians, took their places, surrounded by a rustic setup—a leather stool, a makeshift side table made from a Bud Light keg, and a wooden crate.

Before the performance began, comedian Shane Gillis, who co-starred with Post Malone in Bud Light’s Super Bowl LIX commercial, made a surprise appearance. Gillis briefly addressed the crowd, thanking them for letting him “stand up here for ten seconds,” before teasing Post’s arrival. Moments later, Malone appeared barefoot, clad in plaid, and greeted the eager crowd with a quiet “Hello.” As cheers erupted throughout the venue, Post waved his cowboy hat and took his seat, ready to perform.

2025 has already proven to be a whirlwind year for the multi-faceted artist. In addition to his Super Bowl LIX commercial with Gillis, Post Malone partnered with Oreo to release the brand’s first-ever swirled filling cookie. And at the 2025 Academy Awards, he became music’s most-nominated artist without ever winning a Grammy—an impressive, if bittersweet, milestone in his career.

This exclusive New Orleans show marked Post Malone’s fourth collaboration with Bud Light, following a string of successful events with the beer brand. Fans who are accustomed to waiting years between these intimate performances were delighted to see him return to the stage just seven months after his star-studded July 2024 event. That concert had featured Western-infused renditions of his greatest hits and new tracks from his debut country album, F-1 Trillion, which was released just one month later.

Post’s performance kicked off Super Bowl weekend with a country-infused version of his hit “Circles.” The song, known for its groovy bassline, was reimagined with steel guitar riffs and fiddle accents, further cementing the country influence on his evolving musical style.
