K-pop sensation Seventeen has added another achievement to its impressive list of milestones, as their 12th mini album Spill The Feels has officially earned Double Platinum certification in Japan.
The album, which was released in October 2024, surpassed 500,000 cumulative shipments as of January 2025, according to the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ). This marks Seventeen’s seventh Double Platinum-certified album in Japan, adding to the 18 total albums the group has earned under the RIAJ’s Gold Disc program.
The RIAJ grants certifications based on cumulative album shipments, with Gold for 100,000 units, Platinum for 250,000, and Double Platinum for 500,000 or more. These numbers represent albums distributed to retailers and wholesalers, not necessarily total sales.
Upon its release, Spill The Feels quickly ascended to the top of the Oricon Daily Album Ranking, before later dominating both the Oricon Weekly Album and Weekly Combined Album charts. Additionally, it claimed the No. 1 spot on both the Hot Albums and Top Album Sales charts on Billboard Japan.
Seventeen’s success in Japan continues, with their second Japanese single, Fallin’ Flower, surpassing 50 million cumulative streams in December 2024, earning a Gold certification in the streaming category from the RIAJ.
