Zach Bryan and comedian Shane Gillis made Super Bowl LVII weekend even more unforgettable for fans by hosting a surprise pop-up show in New Orleans. The two passionate Philadelphia Eagles supporters teased a spontaneous performance ahead of the high-stakes clash between the Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs.
On the night before the Super Bowl at the Caesars Superdome, Bryan teamed up with Gillis for an impromptu set at the Saturn Bar in the heart of New Orleans. Bryan, known for his unexpected performances, announced the show just hours before it took place, much like his surprise January 2024 set in Austin. Word spread quickly, and eager fans began crowding the intimate venue.
Bryan, who performed just a few feet from the audience, delivered a mix of fan favorites and chart-topping hits, including the viral single “28” from his critically acclaimed 2024 album, The Great American Bar Scene. The intimate performance, filled with raw emotion, offered a rare opportunity to experience Bryan’s music up close.
Ahead of the event, Bryan had hinted at the possibility of a pop-up show with Gillis and promised to release a new track, “Dear Miss,” if the Eagles won the Super Bowl. “IF THE BIRDS WIN THE BOWL DEAR MISS IS OUT THE NEXT DAY SEE YALL IN NOLA SHANE GILLIS N ME MIGHT DO A POP UP N GET ROWDY SOMEWHERE LOVE U GUYS,” Bryan wrote on Instagram, rallying fans in anticipation of both the game and the performance.
