Country music superstar Blake Shelton will take the stage at Tuscaloosa’s Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater on October 17, with the gates opening at 5:30 p.m. for a 7 p.m. show.
Shelton, known for his hit-making career, has sold 13 million albums and 52 million singles, including 29 No. 1 hits. With nearly 11 billion worldwide streams, he has garnered numerous accolades, including 11 from Country Music Television, 10 from the Country Music Association, six from the Academy of Country Music, and multiple People’s Choice awards.
The chart-topping star was also a coach on NBC’s The Voice from 2011 to 2023, mentoring nine winners—more than any other judge. In 2021, Shelton worked with Tuscaloosa’s own Emma Caroline Warren, famously responding with “Roll Tide” when her hometown was mentioned on the show.
Shelton, who was named People magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive” in 2014, is a well-known collaborator, having worked with artists such as Gwen Stefani (his wife), Miranda Lambert, Kelly Clarkson, Michael Bublé, and Zac Brown Band, among others.
This marks Shelton’s return to Tuscaloosa, having previously performed in the city in 2002 for a Shelton State Community College anniversary celebration. His most recent area performance was in 2023 at Birmingham’s BJCC Arena.
Tickets for the show will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, with prices ranging from $45 to $275, available through Ticketmaster or at the Amphitheater box office.
