Brooklyn rap music icon Talib Kweli has signed with Universal Attractions Agency (UAA) for worldwide representation as he prepares for an extensive North American and European tour. The tour will kick off on Thursday in Reykjavik, Iceland, and will culminate with a performance at Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre on June 21.

Kweli, who gained fame in 1998 as one half of the influential duo Black Star, made a lasting impact with their critically acclaimed album Mos Def & Talib Kweli Are Black Star, which featured iconic tracks like “Definition” and “Respiration.” His solo career has flourished with collaborations with top-tier artists including Kanye West, Just Blaze, and Pharrell Williams. In 2011, he also launched his own record label, Javotti Media.

UAA President Jeff Epstein and Ben Sauberman will handle Kweli’s representation, while Donna Dragotta of Javotti Media will continue to manage his career. Tickets for the tour are available now.

“We are honored to welcome the legendary Talib Kweli to the Universal Attractions Agency family,” said Epstein. “The impact Talib’s music has had on hip-hop is undeniable, and we are excited to partner with him on this new chapter.”
