Bon Iver frontman Justin Vernon has announced the upcoming release of his fifth album, SABLE, fABLE, set to drop on April 11th. Ahead of the album’s arrival, the lead single, Everything is Peaceful Love, will be available this Friday, February 14th—a deliberate release on Valentine’s Day, adding an extra layer of significance to the track. The new record is being billed as a transformative journey, evolving from themes of dark, solitary isolation to a celebration of joyous, euphoric love.
SABLE, fABLE follows Bon Iver’s critically acclaimed three-song SABLE EP, released in October 2024. The EP featured the stripped-back and haunting track S P E Y S I D E, which led some fans to speculate that a full album could be in the works, especially given Vernon’s consistent use of commas in the titles of his projects.
With the new album’s announcement, fans can now look forward to a deeper exploration of the emotional and sonic territory Vernon began to chart with the SABLE EP.
