Alternative rock group Neon has marked a significant turning point in their musical journey with the release of their latest single, Biar. The track showcases the band’s first venture into self-production, blending contemporary rock sounds with introspective spiritual themes.
Biar, which touches on spiritual repentance in the wake of heartbreak, is described by band member Adam Svl as “a rather heavy song” that stays true to the essence of Neon’s sound. He revealed that the recording process, which spanned over two months, involved plenty of experimentation, adding to the song’s depth and meaning.
“The challenges we faced during the production made the success of Biar all the more rewarding, and we’re more excited than ever to continue creating,” Svl shared.
The band hopes that Biar will resonate with both local and international audiences, helping to introduce Neon to a wider fanbase. Svl expressed, “We want Biar to give Malaysian music fans something fresh and modern while also bringing our music to listeners in Singapore, Brunei, Indonesia, and beyond.”
Neon’s Biar promises to be a stepping stone as they aim to elevate local music on the global stage.
