Patti Smith is set to embark on a highly anticipated fall tour in 2025 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of her groundbreaking debut album, Horses. The tour will feature the iconic singer alongside her longtime collaborators: guitarist Lenny Kaye and drummer Jay Dee Daugherty, both of whom played pivotal roles on the 1975 LP, widely regarded as a cornerstone of punk music.
Smith’s backing band will also include keyboardist/bassist Tony Shanahan and her son, guitarist Jackson Smith. The tour kicks off on October 6 in Dublin, Ireland, at the 3Arena, before making stops across Europe in cities like Madrid, London, and Paris. The U.S. leg will follow, with performances in Seattle, Oakland, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Boston, and Washington, D.C., concluding on November 29 at the Met in Philadelphia.
This milestone tour promises a nostalgic celebration of Horses and its enduring influence on the music world.
