Billy Idol expressed his shock and gratitude after receiving his first-ever nomination for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The iconic punk rocker, who was recently in Cleveland to perform “No More Tears” at Ozzy Osbourne’s Hall of Fame induction, reflected on Osbourne’s suggestion that he too should be inducted.
Speaking backstage, Idol shared, “It was really lovely of him to say so. It would be really incredible.” His surprise nomination comes as a testament to his lasting influence in the rock and punk music scenes. Idol, who has long been a beloved figure in music, now stands on the verge of potentially receiving one of the highest honors in the industry.
