Fountains of Wayne is reuniting for their first full live performances since the death of co-founder Adam Schlesinger in 2020. The power-pop band, famous for hits like “Stacy’s Mom,” will perform at Milwaukee’s Summerfest during the July 4 weekend and at the Oceans Calling Festival in Ocean City, Maryland, on September 26.

For these reunion shows, Max Collins of Eve 6 will step in on bass. These performances will mark the band’s first proper reunion in over a decade, following a brief, one-off tribute performance in 2021 to honor Schlesinger, who tragically passed away from COVID-19 complications at age 52. Prior to his death, Fountains of Wayne’s last official tour concluded in 2013.

Formed in 1995, the band earned a devoted fanbase, with their mainstream breakthrough coming in 2003 with the release of “Stacy’s Mom.” The track became a pop culture phenomenon, peaking at No. 21 on the Billboard Hot 100, earning them a Grammy nomination, and solidifying their place in music history. Their album Welcome Interstate Managers also gained notable success, reaching No. 115 on the Billboard 200.
