Bristol-based post-punk band Knives has announced their highly anticipated debut album, GLITTER. The new record, slated for release later this year via Marshall Records, follows their 2024 EP What We See In Their Eyes, which featured singles like Headcase and Doppelgänger.
The band, known for their electrifying live performances, aims to create a space where marginalized voices, including people of color and the LGBTQ+ community, are celebrated. “We’re all completely different people, from different backgrounds,” said bassist Ben Marshall. “It’s a space I’m happy to have curated because growing up, I never saw other black people in Metallica’s audience. Now, we’ve built a community where queer folks and people of color feel they belong.”
GLITTER was recorded at Giant Wafer Studios in the Welsh Valleys with producer and close collaborator Dominic Bailey-Clay (Death Goals, Dream Wave).
