American technical death metal band Allegaeon has unveiled plans for their upcoming album, The Ossuary Lens, the follow-up to their 2022 release Damnum. Scheduled for release later this year via Metal Blade Records, this marks their sixth album recorded with longtime producer Dave Otero.
The band worked with Otero at Flatline Audio studio in Denver, continuing a 17-year collaboration. “He’s our guy, and we couldn’t imagine working with anyone else at the moment,” said vocalist Ezra Haynes. Guitarist Greg Burgess echoed the sentiment, noting, “Dave always provides a comfortable working environment, amazing ideas, and a career-spanning understanding of what has made Allegaeon, Allegaeon.”
To accompany the announcement, the band has released a new music video for Driftwood, a track from the upcoming album.
